Check out pick-up at Camden's Malandra Hall playing fields...every Thursday @ 8:00pm starting May 22, 1997 until Summer league starts. -

Directions: Take the Ben Franklin Bridge to NJ and pick up 676 South. Get off at Exit 1B "Collongswood/Collings Ave." Take right onto Collings Ave. and take fourth right onto New Jersey Ave. You'll see Malandra Hall & playing fields. If you see a WaWa, you've gone too far. Please be curteous to softball and baseball players...whose games are usually over by 8:30 at the latest...if they are there at all.

Ridgedale Avenue
Tues and Thurs 6:30 -- not "pure" Ultimate ... contact permitted more than most games, as are picks. End zone on one end of field is unlimited.

Columbia High School, off Valley Street, pickup games Fri. nights @9:00 under the lights at Columbia H.S. parking lot ("the Lot" ~~ the birthplace of Ultimate)

..... Montclair

Pickup games *** Sunday @1:00/1:30 (call to confirm) at Brookdale Park, off Watchung Avenue/Grove Street/Bellevue Avenue.  Toward the fall months, the time tends to move around a bit, until the temperature drops below 50 degrees.  After that point, they stop playing and go hibernate, or something. *** Wed. @5:30/6:00 p.m.-- same location, but subject to daylight, temperature, and other weather related factors -- call for info or directions.  As this group exists as a practice forum for a club team, under the name of the Thrash Badgers pickup games may be pre-empted by tournament play, especially during the spring and fall months. Funny thing: I know that there is disc happening most Saturdays in NB, but no idea where or what are the details. My recommendation, go back to the teams list and email to someone from Rutgers to see what is going on!

Also, be aware of this message that I received: "We play ultimate every Monday evening in New Brunswick, NJ (since May 23-26 is a holiday weekend, I think, I'm not certain a game would happen that Monday night). Anyway, e-mail back if you're interested."

We play pick up ultimate on Antilles Field, Douglass campus at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. We play every Monday at 6 P.M. unless there's a heavy rain, in which case we play on Wed. If there's enough interest, we can start a regular game on Wed. Our games are informal and coed. Players of all skill levels are welcome. Seasonal pick up ultimate is starting at Van Saun Park on (off?) Spring Valley Road in Paramus. We will be playing on Monday and Thursday nights @6:30. All levels of play are welcome. It's a pretty good field. You can list me as a contact.

Directions: From Garden State Park Way/ West: Exit 161 off the Park Way to Route 4 East Take Route 4 East to Spring Valley Rd exit (just before the Bergen mall) Make a left onto the overpass, and cross over Route 4. Take Spring Valley Rd North. Spring Valley will Turn right (east) and come to a traffic light (forest ave) Continue through light, and look for a Van Saun park zoo sign that indicates a right hand turn. The field and then the Park Entrance will be on your right. You can park on the dead end street that is the next right after the park entrance (please be respectful of homeowners)
>From East: Route 4 east to Forest ave exit Make a right at the first light, and head north on Forest Ave for 2/3 lights At the light after the van saun park entrance (spring valley rd) make a right.(there will be a sign for the Van saun park zoo telling you to make a right) Make a right at the next Van saun park zoo sign. The field will be on the right, followed by a park entrance. Make a right turn onto the dead end street after the park entrance and park your car there. (please be respectful of homeowners)

..... Piscataway

We have a weekly pickup game in the Piscataway area--would you mind adding us to your list of pickup games? We can sure use some new blood in our pool of players. We play in Piscataway (Middlesex County) on Tuesdays (5:30pm-8:30pm) from April to September. The games are coed and very informal (no cleats and no stall counts). Players' abilities range from newbies to advanced.

..... Point Pleasant

Frisbee folks have been getting together to throw some, Saturdays starting around 1 and/or Sundays around 2, at Beaver Dam Creek Park, in Point Pleasant.  This Park is near the intersection of Route 88 and Bridge Avenue Extension (Bridge Avenue goes from Rt. 35 in Bay Head to Rt. 88. Across Rt. 88 it becomes BA Ext.) The Park is right behind the Ford dealership right on the corner of Rt. 88 (across from Spirits Unlimited!). My plan is to get out to throw most Saturdays now (just after Memorial Day) through Labor Day. I am hopeful that if enough players show up, a game will happen!
